Crystalyx brand Beef-lyx is a unique, nutrient-dense supplement formulated to help improve health and stimulate appetites of incoming feedlot cattle. Beef-lyx supplies supplemental energy, vitamins, minerals, trace minerals and yeast culture in a very palatable form to help reduce stress in incoming feedlot cattle.

Feeding Directions

Crystalyx brand Beef-lyx is designed for self-feeding receiving cattle and feedlot cattle.

Place containers in areas that achieve desired supplement intake. Feed at the rate of one (1) container for every 20 to 30 head, with a minimum of two (2) containers in each lot to ensure proper accessibility. Free-choice consumption will depend on the size and levels of stress of the animals fed, seasonal weather and pen conditions, as well as, quality source and availability of other feeds. Cattle typically consume between 125 to 450 grams per head, per day.

All consumption figures stated here are approximate. Provide free access to fresh, clean water at all times. Beef-lyx contains no added salt. Provide salt free-choice.

Features & Benefits

Stimulates appetite. Beef-lyx helps stimulate appetites, increasing intake of essential nutrients for cattle under the stress of entering the feedlot.

High energy. Contains no non-nutritive binders or fillers; safe for cattle unaccustomed to high energy diets; cannot be bitten or chewed; incoming feedlot cattle can consume without digestive upset; stimulates intake of receiving rations resulting in increased energy; healthy animals consume more feed than sick animals.

Highly palatable. Beef-lyx is highly palatable with yeast culture and a high level of molasses solids. Palatable feeds are more likely to be consumed by sick animals or those unaccustomed to consuming from feed bunks.

Yeast culture and B vitamins. The yeast culture and B vitamins in Beef-lyx help stimulate appetite to maintain intake when cattle hesitate to consume receiving rations. Stressed calves often times have reduced rumen function from not eating or abrupt changes in the diet they are being fed. The yeast culture and B vitamins in Beef-lyx help the rumen microbes adjust to these changes and keep calves eating.

Protein. Plant proteins and highly palatable molasses solids provide the protein found in Beef-lyx. Beef-lyx delivers supplemental rumen-available protein to support rumen microbial populations. Beef-lyx is 12% crude protein and will not dilute in the protein content of the complete ration.

Mineral & vitamin fortification. Beef-lyx is specially formulated to help meet mineral and vitamin needs of incoming feedlot cattle to fight disease associated with the stresses of a new environment.
