Masterfeeds RiteMins Breeder Beef Mineral is a high quality 11% calcium, 12% phosphorus mineral that contains salt and high levels of trace minerals and vitamins, with approximately one third of selected trace minerals coming from organically complexed (chelated) sources. The trace minerals and vitamin levels are designed to meet the full trace mineral and vitamin requirements of breeding beef cattle, when consumed at the recommended rate.

Feeding Directions

Target Intake: 85–100 grams/head/day

Provide Masterfeeds RiteMins Breeder Beef Mineral free choice, or as part of a nutritionally balanced feeding program, to achieve an average intake of 15 grams per 100 kg body weight per day (e.g. 75 grams per head per day for a 500 kg cow). Provide salt free choice at all times. Vary the location of the mineral feeder in relation to water and free choice salt to achieve the desired intake.

Who Uses: Masterfeeds RiteMins Breeder Beef Mineral is primarily intended for feeding to brood cows and bulls prior to, and during the breeding period, or at other times when higher levels of mineral and vitamin supplementation, as well as trace mineral availability, are required.

Features & Benefits

11% calcium, 12% phosphorus. High level of phosphorus to meet the higher requirements of breeding cattle.

3% magnesium. Helps prevent hypomagnesaemia (especially at calving and during lactation).*

Contains 20% salt. Improves palatability and helps enhance and regulate intake. Also supplies most of the sodium requirement. Additional supplementation through a salt bloc is recommended.

Highest levels of trace minerals. With a portion of copper, zinc, and manganese coming from chelated or organic sources. Improves milk production, reproduction, resistance to disease and semen quality.

Selenium added at 30 mg/kg with a portion supplied in an organic form. Prevents white muscle disease and retained placentas. Increases resistance to disease and semen quality. Maximum level of selenium permitted in a free choice mineral with increased bioavailability from organic sources.

Vitamin E at 3,000 IU/kg. Enhances milk production, reproduction, resistance to disease and semen quality. Helps prevent retained placentas.

Natural and artificial flavours. Enhances palatability and intake.

* The level of magnesium in this mineral is insufficient alone to prevent hypomagnesaemia. Consult your Masterfeeds Nutritionist regarding the suitability of this mineral if you are feeding very low magnesium or very high potassium feeds.
